Event rules and guidelines: Difference between revisions

Unless stated otherwise on an event announcement, the following applies to all Toronto bladers events.

By participating in a Toronto bladers event you agree to the following:

Code of conduct
Agreement waiver and release of liability
Skate marshals, when assigned to an event, will conduct how the group moves
No pets to be brought to an event due to safety reasons, city bylaws & chapter 349.

For most regular activity we advise all wheels hardness to be:

For slalom:

For speed/endurance and distance:

For night skate:

Maintenance:

All these fails have happened and can happen again:

Bring your inline skates
Nothing is broken/defective
Clean your bearings or get new ones
All parts are tight and secure
Make sure the wheels are not angled/destroyed too worn out
Use threadlocker such as loctite to make sure you axles do not come out while skating.

In addition, city rinks and skate parks sometimes have their own requirements

If you drive, note that almost all public parks have a free park location.

Consider car polling and parking fee share as well as using a scooter and store it in another skater friend vehicle during the event.
