Masks for skating

Masks for sporting activities are important because physical distance is not possible all the time or we are passing by people.

It is important to note that not all masks are good and or comfortable to exercise with as well as not all offer a good level or protection and the biggest problem when using a mask during intense physical activity, is the material and shape of the mask. You will either look cool with false protection or less cool with a great level or protection.

What ever mask you decide to use, it is desirable, that provides n95 protection, space between your mouth, nose and the mask itself to allow air to flow easier. In addition, adjustable nose clip will helps provide a custom, secure seal your nose to prevent vertical air flow and glasses to fog.

I have tried several types of masks and respirators either due to sports, personal and professional reasons and bellow here is my experience.

Mask bracket

Made of high-quality healthy PC plastic, it is smooth and non-toxic, gentle to the skin and will not cause any harm.
Conforms to the ergonomic design principle, perfectly fits the face, and the unique snap design allows you to hang it securely on the inner layers of the mask without worrying about slips.
The brackets are specially tailored to the mask, soft and smooth, designed to fit the face of the nose bridge, protect makeup, do not stick lipstick, expand the breathing space to help smooth breathing.
Mask holders can be reused. You only need to use clean water or soap to clean it and then dry it for reuse, which is very environmentally friendly, which can extend the life of the mask and solve the problem of insufficient masks.
Protection stand fits for everyone who wear masks often or who don't has much masks are very suitable. Doctors and nurses, outdoor workers, supermarket employees, etc, can meet your daily needs and release your breathing space.

Good masks

So far I have found these masks to be very good both to breath and prevent glasses to fog without the need of a face mask inner support bracket.

3M™ Aura™ Health Care Particulate Respirator and Surgical Mask 1870+, N95 120 EA/Case is by far the best mask I tried so far. This mask provides excellent n95 filter action and is very breathable. Can be used at least a couple times.

Bad masks

This dust reusable face mask with activated carbon filters for working protection, traveling and sports or this one is not the best. I have found that over time with intense physical activity, it gets soaked in sweat and at some point feels like a wet towel around the face which will make you breath in all the droplets and sweat you produced. Over time, it causes wet cough after intense exercise sessions due to breathing all all the wetness on it.

This mask comes with a bullshit replaceable n95 filter inside. The mask is more breathable than the previous 3M mask mentioned above to the point that appears to be almost perfect that way but at the expense of the aforementioned disadvantage as well as not being n95 and the lateral air openings are not perfect for effective air filtering which makes the 3M mask win on this detail for filtering small particles. While inline skating with this type of mask, I have eaten little flies that got in it through the mask.

This mask has a slick cool design and looks but overall is worse than cloth masks. Great to look cool and a false sense of protection.

Masks not advised

Soft masks, soft cloth and or fabric masks are not great for intense physical exercise because they will get stuck to the face and will not allow to breathe properly. This occurrence will intensify itself more once the mask starts to get wet due to sweat. However if you use a face mask inner support bracket the breathing problem is solved.

This includes ski masks, scarfs, bandannas and other similar protection type masks.

Blue medical disposable

These blue disposable medical masks are also not the best without a face mask inner support bracket. The don't shape well to the face, the wire on top of the nose will not work well to secure the mask with physical activity and once sweat starts to appear, the mask will stick to the face and mouth, making it ineffective and bothersome.

Washable fabric dust proof

These dustproof mouth face cover masks, that claim to be protective breathable mouth washable anti droplet are not n95 filter masks' and offer less protection than thick cloth masks. They are however better than the bullshit mask with activated carbon filters respirators for working protection, traveling and sports and in regards to breathing also better than the blue disposable medical masks even without the face mask inner support bracket which in addition, also improves the use of the mask.

Face shields

Forget about it. Might as well skate with a helmet that has as visor.
