Hamilton Ontario, offers two of the best Ontario locations to do inline skating on dedicated large and well paved trails up to an average of 17 km in length. One trail is located on the west side along Hamilton Harbour, formerly known as Burlington Bay and the other on the east side along Lake Ontario.
From time to time we skate there.
Transportation
Driving from south west Toronto can be troublesome. It can take 1h to 1h and 20m or more when done anywhere between 5 and 7 pm during the week and 45 minutes on the weekend and not to forget the gas and sometimes, parking costs.
Go train
Since 2022, one Hamilton skater Jeff has been successful taking the Go train to come to Toronto, skating with the group. The same can be done to skate in Hamilton.

Bayfront Park
- Take the large sidewalks on James street North and then turn west on Strachan St. W. all the way to the end until you see the Harbour Front Monument.
- You can also go on Stuart street, then north on Bay and left on Harbour Front Dr. until you see the Harbour Front Monument.
Confederation Beach
- Confederation Go Platform 4 Rail service opening in 2025.
- Map route: 1.8 km skate from Confederation Go Platform 4 to Confederation park.
Pier 8 Rink
If you are driving, please consider car carpooling/ride share with other skaters, so that less traffic and pollution is produced and you can take advantage of HOV lanes.
Bayfront Park
