Usage

Every skater knows that at some point, shoes must be worn either to go to an event or leave and event and overtime it becomes troublesome to have to carry regular size shoes around. Regular shoes are bulky, heavy and voluminous.

Weather the event is city skating and then the skater has to get into public transportation or take a ferry to an island, carrying regular shoes means extra weight and volume.

Professional shoes

Professional pocket shoes have been made and are available on specialized skating stores. However, they come with a high cost due to their exquisiteness and design. Prices have ranged from $40 to $80 cad.

Affordable alternative

A water shoe is a type of footwear that is typically used for activities where the feet are likely to become wet, such as kayaking. Water shoes are usually made of mesh and have a hard sole used to prevent cuts and abrasions when walking in wet, rocky environments.

There are several types of water shoes based on the needs of the wearer, ranging from something that resembles a sock to footwear that can function as a sneaker or even a boot. They are highly flexible and foldable as well as more durable than professionally designed inline skating foldable pocket shoes. They also fit inside a small waist bag or fanny pack.

As for the price, they start at $8 cad on local and online stores.
